Wow....God, it's April. It's only been April for 7 days, and already I feel as though I've been on a rollercoaster. As a lot of you already know, I adored and cherished Megadeth. Every bit as much as I adore and cherish Metallica. You know what, go back for a second. I still adore and cherish Megadeth, and always will. The news came as a big shock, despite the fact that the signs that the sky was falling had begun at least two days earlier, and I knew something was wrong. This hurts on three levels... the least level, is that this is another huge blow to the metal community. Next, the future of Megadeth is in doubt now, and that hurts. But what hurts more than anything, is to see Dave Mustaine have to make a decision for himself, that may hurt in part...may hurt him a lot, in fact. He has seemed like such a nice human being, that it pains me to see him go through this. I want nothing more than to see him healthy and happy. I truly mean that. And through DethWeb.com, I got to tell him that. So yes, please get better Dave, and whatever happens, please be happy. Moving on isn't that simple a thing, and what it does leave behind is hard. I love ya Dave, and wish you the best of luck. *And now for something completely different* I'd like to plug my new "organization", FMAB, aka Female Metalheads Against Bigotry. We're anti-racist, anti-sexist, anti-homophobia, anti-religious bigotry, all that shit. Come visit us at http://fmab.nativeinsanity.com ...and yes, men are welcome. I *did* say we were anti-sexist, after all. :P We're currently making plans to commemorate Sexual Assault Awareness Month, which is every April. Ok, that's it for me, on to the vibe list! Annaleigh |
