Hey there IPOMers... Long time, no bore...hehe. It's been a while since our last letters, so I hope this letter finds you all alright. So the montrosity that is St. ANGER, hit us just a short 4 months ago... Wow. Many of you know I grew disenchanted with Metallica for a while, I'd partly been listening too much to some of the clueless on the Megadeth boards, in addition to my own thinking. Well, even though it took more than one listen to like the album, I'm back in my spot as a total rocking Metalli-chick. ;) People complain about the snare drums on this album, but I love em.. It bugs me sometimes that James blows out his voice during the songs, but that's OK. Overall, good album. As for me and my life,. I'm not in the best of places right now. Faced with frustration, exhaustion, and a big loan I can't pay off until tomorrow (thus locking me out of the school system till then), I am forced to take a semester's break from college. I was supposed to be taking World Religion and World History, but that's all fallen through. :( To top that off, the historical society museum I volunteered at had to close it's doors, due to these horrific budget cuts (Vote Camejo!). It may reopen this month, so I'm going to check, and see if they need me again. That or see how much of the genealogical materials are open to me, because I am thinking of volunteering with Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness. If it looks like I have nothing to do now, you were right up until a while ago... I've gotten to busy on the Internet. I've possibly joined one too many webring clubs for women, and signed up for too many of their comittees. If it happens that I'm definetly too overworked, I may have to quit, and that may be hard because I really enjoy some of the things I do with them. I belong to a committee called Wings of Hope where we send cards and make birthday pages for seriously and or terminally ill children. The hardest part is sending out condolence cards when some of these children pass on. :( I also belong to a Causes committe with another webring, and this month I am their Champion of the Month, and the cause I'm "championing" is breast cancer awareness. My health & family life is getting kinda hectic. On September 8th, little Maria Ashley Rivas was born seriously ill, at one point near death. She is my cousin, but is better known as my niece. My grandma was put in the hospital for a fall, and they found something on her head, and they say they may have to opperate. It's frustrating, because my mom is already talking as if grandma has been diagnosed with a terminal illness. I want to wallop something into her mind that a attitude of defeat gets us nowhere. Anyway, I had a very bad patch of mania in July that almost put me in the hospital. It's the worst I've ever been when it comes to mania. For three weeks I stayed up all night and maybe slept in the day. That was often hard because of the 100+ heat that is characteristic of this place. Even though I generally still have trouble sleeping, I'm alright now. What the psychiatrist could not fix, a good church sermon, six dollar hamburger with fries afterwards with too much root beer, fellowship with church people, and watching the news with my mom, could. In more positive news, I'm getting ready for Christmas in October! Actually I've started since September :) I'm already listening to my Trans Siberian Orchestra albums, ordered some body spray that has a wintery scent since all my body sprays were spring/summer, and I have gifts picked out for my mom and my friend/Christian mentor. I'm also trying to budget for a possibly Christmas rally, we had one last year and gave gifts away, so I want to be sure to donate. And I have been mulling over my mom's Avon brochures. I have a feeling that this Christmas season will be as intense, emotional, exciting, and joyful as last years. :) Anyway, in closing, I am working on my genealogy project again. Yes, the old obsession. I just bought a directory of genealogy sites, two howtos, and I expect to subscribe to a genealogy library in CT, starting this month. I'm thinking of volunteering with Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness because I know my way around the town library and historical society. I invite you to take a look at my page, http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/w/a/t/Analee-Maria-rodriguez-Watts/index.html?Welcome=1065040312 And because my page needs updating, and I have new names and locations I'm researching, I will give you the surnames here, in case there's any "genies" here who might be working on the same names: Aguero, Aguilar, Bishop, Budd, Cross, De Jesus, Earp, Farias, Flores, Garcia, Graham, Guerra, Harp, Hinojosa, Kinnard, Marichalar, Maxwell, Menante, Moore, Olascoaga, Peddicord, Perez, Rodriguez, Sada, Sanchez, Stanton, Travis, Trevino, Villareal, Warren, Watts I leave you to my vibe list! :D Wait a minute, I can't do that yet! First I must speak to the "Kellyfornian" people of this great state. 6 days from now we have to make a HUGE decision! Do we get rid of Govner Davis? Who do we replace him with? Before you can even make that decision, you must ROCK THE VOTE! If you're not registered to vote, tough luck, you must live with the decision the rest of us make. You would do well to register for the next election. :P If you are registered, then PLEASE, HAUL YOUR MANGY MUTT LAZY ASSES to your local polling place, or to the mailbox, if you have an absentee ballot. I don't care who you vote for, (JUST NOT MCCLINTOCK!) just ROCK THE VOTE! Ok, I'm done, onto the vibe list. Anna |
