Wow. It's been a while since I've had a good letter of the month. For starters, I went to London in November. I spent 10 days there. You can read about it and see pictures here. I went there for work, but I had the weekends on either side to myself, so I got to do lots of sight-seeing. And of course, I did plenty of drinking, British-style, with the guys from the UK office. I had a blast! London is a great city! What else? I spent much of November (when I wasn't in London) taking care of Lynn - but she's doing much better now. In December she got out of her brace and off of her crutches. She used a cane for most of December, but now walks (mostly) normally without even a cane. She still can't use the leg she had surgery on to go up or down stairs, but that's really about it. In December, I went back to Florida to visit with my parents and old friends. It was great to see people I hadn't seen in 2 years, and I had lots of fun. Sadly, I didn't remember to take a single fucking picture. Oh well. I've also decided that I'll be buying myself a Wii sometime soon. Having now played one, I can see it is by far one of the coolest gaming systems ever. I'm not much of a gamer, but I did like my Nintendo and Super Nintendo when I was a kid. And the Wii is just simple, and fun, and you get to swing your arms around a lot. What's not to love? And for only $250! I've been playing with the idea of getting a tattoo. I have an appointment with a highly recommended artist in a few weeks to have him sketch somethings out based on a design I brought him. We'll see how that goes? What else? I've been pretty busy lately. I completely revamped IPTState, software that I wrote and maintain. I've also been writing a lot of code at work which has made it a bit more difficult for me to be motivated to write IPOM code. But I've gotten the bug again, so expect more cool stuff here soon. On a Metallica note, I'm getting excited about the new Metallica album, but admitedly, it's a bit hard to get excited without a Jump In The Studio site. I hope they put something like that up soon. Well, that's about it for now. Hope you all had a great Holiday season and New Year! Phil |
