Holy crap there's a lot going on right now. I don't even know where to start! First and foremost, next weekend I will be going on vacation with my stellar girlfriend. We're heading up to a small Bed & Breakfast in Santa Barbara. No computers, no internet, no cell phones, no work, no stress. Just wonderful, peaceful, quite time with each other. I'm very excited. And Lynn really deserves some time away from work even more than I do. We leave Friday afternoon and return a few hours after check-out time on Sunday. I can't wait! Speaking of Lynn, those of you who know where my slightly-hidden personal page is, I've updated it recently and added a picture of us. Lynn's looking hot, and I'm even in a tie! For those who don't know about that page, here's the picture. What else? Oh, here's some exciting news: I finally fixed up my old car (1990 Mercury Topaz) and sold it! Got a decent amount for it too! That will go towards some fix-ups on the Motorcycle I will shortly be purchasing! I took a motorcycle class with my friend Chet, which got us out of the riding portion of the test for your license. This week we're going to attempt to pass the written portion. Anyway, I have a bike lined up from someone at work, and I'm quite excited. Hmm, the school semester has started. I'm not taking CS 303: Algorithms with a very cool professor. Professor Adleman is the "A" in "RSA" (the encryption you use to send your credit card numbers to secure sites). So far he seems like one of the few math professors at USC that actually teach. It's been a very interesting class so far (been in it for 2 weeks now). Two more classes after this. Oh! I know what's cool! I got a patch in the linux kernel! It's a very small, very trivial patch, but it got my name in the Linux Kernel Changelog! I'm so stoked over that! Patch is here and the changelog is here. On a Metallica-related note: They're fucking playing all the cool shit!! Gah! Why am I not on tour?!?! On a personal note: Things are going stellar with Lynn and I. I swear I have one of the greatest girlfriends. Um, if you haven't seen it already go rent Robin Williams: Live on Broadway as soon as you humanly can. Possibly the funniest thing I have seen in my entire life. Oh, and I'm quite happy to report, we have letters of the month from ALL of our staff this month! Yay! |
