Who is IPOM?

Here is a little information about all of the IPOM Staff members. Also check out the IPOM Staff Letters.

PHIL DIBOWITZ - WEBMASTER
Phil is the founder and webmaster of IPOM. It started as a small little idea, and turned into a massive website, and quest for knowledge. Phil handles all the technical aspects: scripts, code, etc., and makes sure everything goes according to plan. Feel free to email him.
I'm currently a Systems Administrator at Ticketmaster. I'm on the team that manages the many systems that serve the website. It's a 99% linux shop.

I've always been interested in computers, starting when I was 4 and got an Apple IIc (haven't had an Apple since). I also play guitar, sing (I was in school choirs since I was in 5th grade), and hang with my friends. I'm a Rocky Horror Picture Show fan. I live on Los Angeles, CA and love it.

DAVID ZANGARA - IPOM GIMP
Dave Zangara has been helping out with IPOM since before I can remember. There was no official 'joining the team' for him, it just kind of happened. You can catch Dave online on AOL as Zangfam.

I love Metallica. All I do is listen to Metallica, and read about Metallica, and live Metallica. God, Family, Metallica, my fucking creedo. I wish I played guitar, but I'm too fucking uncoordinated, but I swear on my grave I'll learn to play before I die." He's the vulgar, overactive, maniac of the team!

LANA M. - GIMPETTE
Lana volunteered to help out several times, and finally we had a job for her. She proved to be quite awesome, so we brought her aboard. Don't let her title fool you, she's no relation to Dave (short of the fact they bicker like a couple) - but she'll be doing very similar work to that which Dave does/did, hence the name. Lana is currently the youngest member of our team.

My name is Lana, I live in the San Fernando Valley in California. I'm an audio editor for my dad's company and a graphic artist at a dvd menu company. I play guitar, bass, and piano and I'm constantly playing and writing my own music. When I'm not working, I'm doing something involving music, computers, or stuff with friends and/or family.

ANNALEIGH RODRIGUEZ WATTS - IPOM MOM
Anna is the instigator of new conversation at one of the Metallica message boards on AOL. She always has great ideas, lots of input, and a fresh new perspective; she's the logical IPOM Staff member. You can catch Annaleigh online, on AOL as LaMetalSenorita.

I have been a fan of Metallica since early high school, late junior high ('94/'95). Favorite albums are AJFA and MOP. I had been with IPOM since '98 up until early 2005. I left due to some personal life issues, but I am back again, and look forward to getting to work! I discovered IPOM through the AOL Metallica boards, where I made the acquaintance of Phil and Dave, as well as former staff member Matt. In my spare time, I do anti-violence activism, and I enjoy photography and writing. I major in Sociology and Anthropology at a local college, and intend to work on my Bachelors in Sociology w/ an emphasis on Ethnic Studies, and a minor in Women's Studies. My goal is to teach Chicano/Native American/Women's Studies at the university level. I'd like to think I lead a full life.

OTHER
A few other people who aren't part of the IPOM Staff have really done a lot for IPOM. Liz Ross is responsible for many of the original graphics on this site, prior to Pablo joining the staff. Pablo was our "Graphics Prince" for a while, and helped us with our move to ipom.com. Dan Walpole has been more than generous with the massive amount of knowledge and Metallica dates in his brain! Chapter Inc. has also been a major help with info and support! Josh Ashman has shared those long hours trying to decipher Load and Reload and Garage Inc. lyrics with Phil! My apartment-mate Tim has donated his time and talents to add new graphics to the site as well. Previous staff mebers include Matt McKenzie, Annaleigh Watts, Nathalie Palmetshofe, and Pablo Corona.
