Review: Live recording of Metallica at the "Day on the Green" festival in Oakland California, August 31, 1985. Contains fourteen tracks from their pre-"Master of Puppets" days. Great shot of a hungry young band tearing it up live. Metallica didn't play the songs exactly like the studio cuts, so there are plenty of live nuances in these versions. Recording captures the band talking to each other and addressing the crowd. Must have been a helluva time being there! Recommended.
