Review: This recording was supposedly made before the "No Life ill Leather" demo. I say supposedly because it seems there is a debate about the authenticity of the disk. I have heard it is siply "NLTL" with crowed noise added. Leaving that aside, I'll just go over the package. It's a crowed recording; and it's not great. The drums in particular are buried. You can hear the guitar and vocals, and some bass as well if you've got a good system with and EQ. It starts off with a spoken introduction that explains when and why it was recorded and who was in the band. The packaging is a bit odd; pictures of the four; but James and Lars are shown from around the Black album time period; the inner band photo is from RTL, and there are two Mustaine photos on the inside; one vintage and one more recent. The back of the inlay has Mustaine with McGovney in the background. Should you buy this? It depends. If it's authentic, most definately. If it's not it's just a curiousity peice. Which means a purchase depends on two things: price and how much you want old Metallica stuff.
