Contributing

IPOM will always be free, that's our promise to you. However, IPOM does take a lot of time, effort, and money to keep running and up-to-date. If you're interested in contributing, here are some easy ways.

Spread the word!

The easiest way to help is to tell people about the site. Tell them about what you use most - maybe the Personal Tour Report or the Picks List. Feel free to share our IPOM Facebook Page if that's easiest.

Lend or donate missing picks

Our Picks List is missing scans of various picks. Perhaps you have picks we're missing that you'd be willing to donate or lend? Let us know! If you're donating picks, we will reimburse you for shipping and credit you on the Picks page. If you want to lend picks, we will cover tracked return shipping for your ease-of-mind. And of course will also credit you on the Picks page.

Venue Checking

We've worked hard to have the most accurate Tour Archive out there. In particular, we worked hard to keep track of venue-renames so that stats on a venue ("Metallica played here X times") is accurate even if the venue has been renamed many times. However, keeping up with this for all venues is a herculean task. So check venues you know (or pick other venues and look them up!) and make sure that we're properly tracking venues across renames, and report it to us if there's any errors. The easiest way to do this is to go to a show at a given venue, click on the venue, and make sure all shows that have been played there are listed, even if the name is different. For example this link shows both Volksparkstadion and Imtech Arena because they are actually the same physical building, it just changed names.
