I was fortunate enough to attend the Miami show the afternoon/night of the 28th. It flat out fucking rocked. Sevendust came on first, followed by Kid Rock, then Creed, then Metallica. The stage was about 100 feet across with 50 ft. wings on each side. Also, there were two ramps extending into the crowd coming together at a point about 75 ft. into the audience forming a triangle shaped Snake Pit. Only the first people to arrive got in (I was not one of them). I only saw the first half of Sevendust (since I wanted to try to get backstage) and they were pretty good. I'm a fan of them, so I might be a little biased. When I attempted to get backstage for the meet-n-greet, not enough passes were available to go around. However, the club members who didn't get passes were given wrist bands to get into the Snake Pit. I managed to see all of Kid Rock, who I'm not a fan of, but I must admit, he put on a pretty good show. I spotted James and possibly his wife off to the side of the stage during Rock's preformance. He seemed to be enjoying it. I caught two of his guitarists' picks. Creed was very good; Scott Stapp worked the crowd well. Then the mighty Metallica came on! I had never seen them live (not by choice, but by bad luck) and they fucking blew me away! James, Jason and Kirk made good use of the ramps. Lots of pyro with a nice little fireworks show at the end (in preparation for the M2K show I assume). I loved the setlist; we were treated to a few songs they hardly ever play live (Blackened, 2x4, Phantom Lord, Sanitarium, No Leaf Clover). I freaked when I heard the intro of Blackened. Clover was played really well with a recorded intro. The crowd (30,000 according to one of the workers I asked) was so loud that the sound people had to turn up James' mic after a few songs. They made a couple small mistakes, but that's typical of the first night of a tour. Overall, great night. My neck and legs are still hurting me.
