2016-03-23 Master of Puppets Added To The Library of Congress [link]
Today Master of Puppets was one of 25 new sound recordings added to the Library of Congress' National Recording Registry. The registry catalogs works that are "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant." The program began in 2002 and ads 25 recordings each year; there are now a total of 250 recordings. This year's selections include icons such as John Coltrane, Merle Haggard, Santana, and George Carlin.
