Well this time, unlike the Rockford show, it was a one day affair. The day started slow. My sister and I were supposed to go to the show, so it was made into a family day. I had some free tickets to Germanfest so we went there and walked around for a while, and then about three o'clock my sister and I went over and waited at the show. I sat near the will call booth looking for Robert, and I talked to a very nice guy named Tom V., who was apparently a friend of Jason's. Well, the show started getting closer (it started at 8 instead of 7, why I don't know, but it did) and finally I found Robert, but by the time I spoke to him, he already had enough people to work for the show. So getting backstage went down the tubes. So its about 7 o'clock, and my sister and I get inside, grab a bite to eat, and then go sit down and wait. Some friends of mine that I had forgotten about were at the show next to me, because i bought them tickets at the same time. In a little while Days of the Few came on, and, just like at the Rockford show, put on a mediocre performance. Then Jerry Cantrell came on, and he was once again a great show. I still can't get over his Pink Floyd cover at the end, I just loved it. Then finally Ecstacy of Gold came on, and I could just feel the goosebumps rising. It was once again awesome. They opened with Breadfan instead of Helpless, and then continued on with the same basic set as the rest of the tour has been. I have to say though, that the cameras that were set up provided some pictures that were just great. I couldn't get over them, they were definitely an added highlight of the show. All in all it was a great nite, I got to bring my sister to an unbeatable concert, and got to see the guys in great form once again. Can't wait for next tour.
